The practice was established by Maggie McGuinn, after she had been working in corporate positions in Australia and overseas. Having been in the role of in-house General Counsel, she had a clear vision of the type of service she wanted to provide when she moved to private practice. Her ethos is to provide a hands on service with an emphasis on availability and achieving cost effective, commercial outcomes for clients.

Your matter will be handled directly by Maggie. The extent of the involvement of assisting staff, with lower hourly rates, will be discussed with you at the outset of any large matter to determine the best cost/value outcome. There is no double handling with junior lawyers.

We do not provide advice on matters outside our areas of expertise and use external specialist assistance where required. If your matter requires advice on an issue outside our areas of expertise, we will offer to source that from our network of law firms and provide a co-ordinated response.

Due to the small structure of the practice, we are open to discussion regarding the manner in which we provide our services, such as working on project based assignments at client locations. Our flexible fee structure is described on the Fees page.
